Please bear with me as there’s a lot to unpack in this entry.
Firstly, I want to address the frenzy on social media regarding Arkane Austin. The news about what happened didn’t surprise me much, especially considering Redfall. Right from the moment we caught a glimpse of it, it felt like a flawed project. It didn’t have the redemption arc like No Man’s Sky or, more recently, Fallout 76, where the game had potential but needed more time in development. Redfall seemed fundamentally flawed in its design, aesthetic, and gameplay. There was no progress over the past year to indicate it could become something great.
What did shock me was the closure of Tango Gameworks. It’s disheartening to see the end of a series like Evil Within, which I was eagerly anticipating for another installment.
Now, let’s shift gears to some positives and what’s new in the life of J.I. Jones. This marks the final post of Project Agarthia in its current state. We’re in the process of relocating everything and gearing up for a reveal of something spectacular. The timing couldn’t be better, especially since I’ve just had a new rig built. It’s arrived just in time, as there are plenty of exciting developments on the horizon. I’m thrilled to share them with you, as both past and future endeavours will be making an appearance very soon.
Till then cheerio…
