So… since I did the “How I would do C.O.D Zombies” I’ve seen another game pop up in coversation a lot and that game is the new Saints Row. So in these conversations the core points grew in my mind. Ok lets start like how we did with COD. This is what I would do with Saints Row.
Right lets start with the story, it has to start at some point before the original SR, maybe a few years, like 2006. You choose between 3 characters, Obviously Johnny Gat or Julius, Troy and Dex. At the start these guys are each part of the original gangs of Stillwater. Which ever you choose you’ll be betrayed in a different way and somehow you’ll met the other characters and you’ll discuss wanting to get revenge, Julius later calls the crew to the church where he declares this is where we’ll run things, this is our turf, we’re the 3rd Street Saints. you’ll slowly build the gang, you’ll see glimpses of a unknown who always seems to be running into trouble until a big gang fight happens, Out of nowhere you’ll find the unknown about to be shot, who you save which will be Playa the character everyone has played since SR1 then the story will really start for its not a prequel its a remake with a prequel added to it.
First thing, you start the game picking between the characters who will be customising Obviosuly this game will be more grounded compared to the later games, so the driving will be the best way around the map so you’ll be able to take old used cars and upgrade them, the shooting will be slightly modified i.e bullet quality, as you start small the bullets may misfire or be a dud so as you progress you get better ammo and of course better weapons. You’ll sort your inventory from the classic flip phone and call the other characters to help.
Ok so this will be set before SRII so it will be Stillwater before Ultor destroyed the church, certain locations will be under construction and you would find the house where Playa was staying before he got injured and joined the Saints.
So remember back when Saints Row was grounded, it had a few funny moments but it was still possible it could happen here, so this would be exactly like that, more realistic graphics not cartoony like fortnite, a muted color palette with only the purple stick out compared to other colors. No fictional weapons the weapons will be realistic.
Not as in depth but there will be other games I would like to talk about how I would either remake or improve.
