What a night!
First off, I want to thank Benn and everyone in the Hurt Records community for the overwhelmingly positive response. I never would have dreamed about what happened last night, as Z.4 was approaching its end, and to have Benn and everyone thank me for the stream. I was literally holding back the tears, not of sadness, but tears of joy.
Soon as I got the EP, I set everything ready, but even though I had it early, I didn’t listen to it. So what you all felt hearing the music for the first time, I felt at the EXACT, SAME, TIME.
So about the setup of the live stream, I literally had only 2 hours to get what I needed done. The systems I used, I literally learned after mere minutes. A lot of it was using assets I had made for the game Z-FG, which I quickly adjusted to be Z. The pre-show’s audio was also made for the game. I had tried to get that same effect as the backing audio was for the podcast… Save that last word for later; we will come back to it. Anyway, with that and some help from one of Abel’s lessons, we had some cool audio. The changing album art and the album title I had to manually change. At first, I thought I would have to manually type myself when the next album starts. After about halfway through Z.1, I thought of a way to make it change both the art and title with just one click. So I sorted that, and the rest is history.
Oh, and almost forgot. During the Z.3 part, I was working on the ending title card, and of course, I had to hide a little quote.
So now, what do I have planned for the future? Well, thanks to you all, Xiled Ones hit 38 followers on Twitch. Me and VVaypoint are already trying to work out what we can do next for the channel. We are also working on our own games for the Xiled Ones YouTube channel. Mine is Zed/heaD using Unity again, but this time using the new UHFPS kit and doing something different with the graphics. Its only a small game at the moment so just one map planned, but if you enjoy it, more will come. I’m also planning the next update for Z-FG named The Town Update.
But is there anything I want to do for the Z community? Well, I’m writing up ideas for a new episode of the Z Declassified.
Yep, I want to take a crack at it with Vox, maybe discuss how Z.3 and the EP link together, or the theories about the EP itself. Also if Vox or anyone has questions or theories of Z-FG, I may answer them too. But that’s something for a later date since I have so much I want to do and got a few conversations I will have to have before everything is final.
But last night blew my mind.
The doubt in myself faded away last night all because of you all.
I am truly home.
